Reporting to the working group Mr. Trinh Cao Khai, Vice Chairman of Competition Council No. 2, Rector of Hanoi Tourism College - the host unit said, Competition Council No. 2 organizes competition of 3 skills including: Restaurant, Cooking, Receptionist competed by 43 contestants, of which one competition has to leave off the competition because of sickness. It’s expected that competition of skills will be compelted in the afternoon of 31st October. The National Competition Council No. 2 has the advantage of being the venue for the National and ASEAN Skills Competitions for many times with team of experts and teachers having lot of experience understanding the content of the test projects both regionally and internationally. Serving for the competition, the college has mobilized over 400 people (teachers, students, medical staff, security ...) to support 42 competitors. However, Mr. Trinh Cao Khai also clarified difficulties faced by Competition Council No. 2. That is difficulty in term of funding and timeline. As a result the college had to borrow equipment at some hotels in Hanoi city. It is possible to evaluate that equipment prepared for the competition meet standard of nearly 4 stars ...

Mr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Vice Chairman of Competition Council No. 5 (Hanoi High Technology College) said, Competition Council No. 5 hosted to organize 10 skills (Industrial Automation, Hair Design, Beauty Therapy, Communication Network Cable Installation, CNC Maintenance, Industrial Control, Internet of Things - IOT, IT Network System Administration, Industrial Electronics, Health care and social work) competed by 122 competitors. Of which skills of Electronics (demonstration skills) have the largest number of competitors of 25 from all delegations, skills of Industrial Control have least number of competitors of 3. Currently, no competitors show signs of Covid-19 infection. Up to now, all facilities, a contingent of officials and teachers for the competition have been completed. Competition Council No. 5 has 28 delegations, which are arranged attentive accommodation by the college.

According to Mr. Pham Xuan Khanh, due to four-time delay of the competition and the fact that the college is a covid-19 quarantine site; the budget for the host of competition organization is limited. Moreover, the fact that it’s the first time for the college to host a number of skills it does not train, to host the organization of skills for the first time to be held in the national competition such as Health care and social work, epidemics ... also affects the spirit of competitors. All of these are factors somehow affect this years’ competition.

Rector Pham Xuan Khanh added that the college has a training scale of over 5,000 students with 32 skills. The college always commits that 100% students will have jobs, and signs commitment with each graduate student to get salary of 5 - 15 million per month. The college has put 10 skills under international programs into training and continues to put some Japanese-standard skills into training in the coming time.

Currently, Hanoi High Tech College is cooperating with 400 enterprises to train workers for them. Enterprises pay full salary for students during training time until graduation. Many enterprise place orders with many skills such as: air conditioning, solar energy. Hanoi High Tech College also dedicated 1 billion VND to sponsor students and is one of two Vietnamese colleges that is a member of the European Vocational Association.

Speaking to the Competition Council No. 5 and the Hanoi College of High Technology, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung emphasized: This year the competition is held in a very challenging context. The competition was delayed many times. However, the competition councils have also made great efforts in organizing carefully. Competition Council No. 5 is a council assigned many skills but the organization is well done.

At the meeting with Competition Council No. 2, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung assessed: This Council has a good preparation of facilities. In the past, Skills of receptionist, restaurant service and cooking had obtained many gold medals and excellent certificates in competitions.

Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung said: Tourism is identified as a spearhead industry, contributing greatly to economic growth. In a country or a locality, there are 3 areas in the economic structure including agriculture, industry and commercial services). In spite of being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the influence of the commercial service industry did not reduce. Any country that can develop tourism services can thrive. In the future, the tourism industry requires huge human resources. "In the context of the Covid -19 epidemic it is possible that tourism workforce will be dispersed. However, when this epidemic is controlled, human resources will be valued first. In many countries and foreign languages ​​are very important. We need to arrange time and volume appropriately; Vietnam's tourism needs to be considered as a key industry. Therefore, in training, in addition to enhancing skills training, it is necessary to strengthen training foreign language for tourism workers ... " said Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung.

According to Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung, recently we have organized the announcement "Vietnam Labour Skills Day October 4 – Up-skilling of Vietnam". As the result this year's competition has been upgraded, showing through the fact that test projects are close to regional and international ones, skills are close to regional and international ones. The spirit of the competition is that it is real competition. The judges, competitors, observers, assessors are very professional, fair and objective...Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung emphasized.
