Linking vocational education in the capital with the labor market

Mr. Truong Anh Dung, Director General of DVET, said: According to feedback from businesses, when recruiting workers, there are still many skills shortages, which causes workers to do not work in the right professions. . Therefore, in order to develop high-quality human resources, it is necessary to develop vocational skills, to link TVET with enterprises and the labor market; vocational training according to the needs of enterprises. Therefore, the conferences linking TVET with the labor market that Hanoi deploys are practical activities that need to be promoted regularly; businesses provide information to better understand recruitment needs; strengthen training in both vocational skills and soft skills so that students and graduates can meet the job requirements of enterprises when they graduate.

As for Nguyen Minh Anh, a middle school student, said: In the immediate future, through the job session, I want to find a part-time job near Tet. After Tet, when I graduate, I will look for a long-term job. Through the job session, I also know about recruitment information, skills needs that businesses need to improve.

According to the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the program attracts about 8,000 students from junior high schools, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education districts: Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc is interested; at the same time, attracting more than 2,000 people to participate in the Mobile Job Introduction session with 40 enterprises participating in recruitment demand at the end of the year.

Currently, in the city, there are 360 ​​vocational education institutions, vocational education establishments (collectively referred to as TVET institutions), of which 310/360 units have registered vocational education activities. (including 69 colleges, 59 intermediate schools, 54 vocational and vocational education centers and 128 enterprises and other types). In 2022, TVET institutions in the area enrolled 251,500 people (33,700 people at college level; 27,900 people at intermediate level; 189,900 people at elementary and under 3 months), reaching 112% of the enrollment plan in 2022, an increase. 13.23% over the same period in 2021.

The rate of students, students and trainees having jobs after graduation reaches 70-80%. Many professions when students and graduates are 100% recruited by enterprises such as air conditioning and air conditioning engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, automotive paint technology, and automotive technology. , automation...

The results of enrollment, graduation and job creation contribute to bringing the rate of trained laborers to 72.23% in 2022, 0.03% higher than the planned target, up 1.13% compared to the planned target. with the year 2021. In which, the percentage of workers with diplomas and certificates will reach 52.5%, exceeding 1.3% compared to the plan set out in 2022, increasing by 2.3% compared to 2022.
