Earlier this June, The Saigontourist Hospitality College (STHC) signed a memorandum of cooperation with New Era Academy (Australia). With this cooperation program, the STHC students can study under the international program these occupations: reception, restaurant service, food processing techniques, and baking.

Short courses students will have the opportunity to go to Australia to study skills improvement certificates at New Era Academy. From this foundation, aspiring students will be able to transfer to a local college.

In addition, students who have graduated from STHC and have 1 year of work experience, and IELTS 4.5 are eligible to go to Australia for continue training in the form of work-study.

According to Ms. Vo Thi My Van, Priciple of STHC, cooperation with foreign educational institutions, combined with teaching according to international programs, not only improves the foreign language proficiency and professional skills of students but also improves the skills of students. They also help them gain international degrees and certificates, and have the opportunity to work in the foreign labor market.

With this model, each year, the university not only provides thousands quality human resources in the tourism industry for the domestic labor market but also for many foreign businesses, bringing workers to demanding markets such as Germany, France, Australia, Japan… working.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education an Training Association, universities, colleges, technical schools and vocational schools are actively renovating their training programs and teaching methods towards integration, achieving regional and international standards.

The goal of innovation is to provide human resources with high professional qualifications, good professional skills, and facilitate access to labor practices... to meet the requirements of the 4.0 technology revolution. 

International cooperation strategy

International cooperation does not take place locally at any school. This model is becoming the development strategy of most TVET institutions in Ho Chi Minh City today.

To prepare for the academic year 2023-2024, in April and May, Saigon Polytechnic College signed cooperation agreements with many overseas training units such as the University of Minnesota (USA), NB Group - Vietnam. Nam - Consulting in Germany… to implement combined training programs in Vietnam and abroad, receiving international qualifications.

Saigon Polytechnic College has cooperated with many international educational institutions for years to train some of the the school signiture occupations such as economics, information technology, industrial fine arts, foreign languages, and tourism, engineering, food chemistry…

According to Dr. Hoang Van Phuc, Priciple of Saigon Polytechnic College, international cooperation opens up international-standard learning opportunities, helping students gain access to advanced teaching resources of the world. They also have the opportunity to practice and study abroad with advanced equipment, close to actual work.

In the past few years, international cooperation has been the most important strategy of Thu Duc College of Technology. The school constantly connects and expands training cooperation relationships with many prestigious organizations from Japan, Korea, Germany, Australia, England ...

Thu Duc College of Technology is one of the first schools to participate in the project “transfer of curriculums; training teachers and vocational education managers; experimental training in key occupations that meet ASEAN and international standards” implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. The school participates in pilot training in industrial electrical engineering.

Since 2018, the school has been training logistics according to the Australian program. The information technology industry cooperates with Freesia Group and Tokyo Industrial Technology College (Japan).
