INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN THE ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-QUALITY CENTRES FOR TVET TRAINING – IMPLICATIONS FOR VIET NAM
On September 10, Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) collaborated with the Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Vietnam held a seminar: “International experience in the establishment and quality training and practice centers high”. DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS’ MEETING TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING RESPONSES TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VIETNAM
On August 26, 2021, Directorate of Vocational Education and Training in collaboration with German Embassy, GIZ- TVET Office organized virtual Development Partners’ Meeting on the topic  “Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Responses to Covid-19 Pandemic: International Experiences and Recommendations for Vietnam.” The Development Partners’ Meeting on TVET in Vietnam is an annual meeting held to share and update information on the current situation, as well as priorities and orientation of the development of TVET in Vietnam among TVET development partners in Vietnam.
Director General Truong Anh Dung received and worked with representatives of the EU Delegation to Vietnam on priorities for cooperation in TVET in the period 2021-2027
Dated 07/16/2021, in Hanoi, the Director General of Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Truong Anh Dung has met and worked with Mr. Jesus Lavina , Deputy Head of the Committee H spatch Development Cooperation , Delegation of the European Union ( EU) in Vietnam on the priority of cooperation in vocational education (TVET) in the period of 2021-2027. Attending were representatives Leader of  Vietnam Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Agency, Department of Occupational Skills and the Office of DVET.

Within 2 days, from 9th to 10th April, 2021, in Thanh Hoa, the DVET in collaboration with the German Development International Cooperation (GIZ) held a scientific forum on “Strategy for the development of VET in the period of 2021. -2030, vision to 2045”. Attending this forum were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, a member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Group; Mr. Bui Sy Loi - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Social Affairs Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - Former Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Duong Duc Lan - President of the Association of Vocational Education and Social Work and many domestic and international scientists in the fields of economy, society, VET. Dr. Truong Anh Dung - Director General of the DVET attended and had direction for the forum; Dr. Do Nang Khanh, Dr. Nguyen Thi Viet Huong, and Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh - Deputy Directors General of DVET attended and were be chairs of different sessions.
New ILO-ADB report addresses the impact of COVID-19 on youth employment in Asia and the Pacific
The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a massive disruption of economies and labour markets with disproportionate impacts on youth employment in Asia and the Pacific, says a new report by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Asian Development Bank (ADB). Young people’s employment prospects in Asia and the Pacific are severely challenged as a result of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Youth (15–24 years) will be hit harder than adults (25 and older) in the immediate crisis and also risk bearing higher longer-term economic and social costs, says a new ILO-ADB report.
