The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training works with the Japanese youth delegation

In the afternoon of September 27, in Hanoi, the Japanese youth delegation led by Mr. Akihiko Watanable had a meeting with DVET in Vietnam. Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Do Nang Khanh, Deputy Director General of DVET, representatives of Leaders of Office, Department of Occupational Skills, ODA - funded of vocational education and training project management units.

The working session of the Japanese Youth delegation with DVET  is the part of the delegation's visit, learning and exchange program in Vietnam. The purpose of the meeting is to understand and grasp the situation of vocational education development in Vietnam. With the spirit of openness, friendliness and multi-dimensional perspective, at the meeting, representatives of DVET and Japanese youth delegation spent a lot of time to learn, share and give exchanging about many contents related to the situation and orientation of vocational education development in Vietnam now and in the future. The discussion focused on such issues as: The position and role of vocational education human resources for socio-economic development; training programs, some vocational training models in Vietnam; which industries have high human resource needs nowadays; employment opportunities, income of learners after completing vocational education and working environment in enterprises; the work of channeling students after high school; Vietnam's international cooperation in vocational education ...

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director General Do Nang Khanh highly appreciated the cooperation and support of the Government and Japanese youth delegation for the development of vocational education over the past years through the programs. Cooperating in supporting vocational skills training, assessing national occupational skills, training Vietnamese candidates to participate in the World Skills Conpetition, .. Deputy Director General Do Nang Khanh thanked the Japanese youth delegation for his interest and dedication There is much time to discuss on many issues related to vocational education development, hopefully in the coming time Japan will continue to support Vietnam to develop vocational education in the context of modern industrialization. nationalization and international integration.
