Director General Nguyen Hong Minh works with Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”

Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) had a meeting with Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”.  Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of DVET;  Mr. Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of DVET;  Mr. Do Nang Khanh, Deputy Director General of DVET;  representatives of departments, units of the DVET.  From GIZ, there was Mr. Jurgen Hartwig, Director of Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam” and some officials of GIZ Office in Vietnam.



Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) had a meeting with Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”.  Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of DVET;  Mr. Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of DVET;  Mr. Do Nang Khanh, Deputy Director General of DVET;  representatives of departments, units of the DVET.  From GIZ, there was Mr. Jurgen Hartwig, Director of Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam” and some officials of GIZ Office in Vietnam.

According to the proposal of DVET, in 2020 and the next period, vocational education and training would like to continue to cooperate with GIZ on activities such as: proposing to continue to support Vietnam to promote quality training.  With high recognition, mutual recognition of degrees and qualifications in vocational education between the two countries, promoting cooperation to bring Vietnamese workers to work in the Federal Republic of Germany.  Support Vietnam in terms of technical as well as financial resources in renewing national, ASEAN and world skills competitions, and developing tools for assessing occupational skills for the domestic labor force, implementing models vocational skills council, trade ambassadors.  In addition, support Vietnam to complete training programs for corporate trainers, green vocational education, develop annual reports on vocational education, support vocational education cooperation with other countries.  ASEAN region, survey vocational training in Vietnam, develop a manual for cooperation between vocational education and business, fostering a contingent of state management officials on vocational education, assessing 5 years of implementation  Implementing the Law on Vocational Education, developing the team of assessors and tools for monitoring the system of vocational education quality assurance, etc. Especially, the development of vocational education development strategy for the period of 2021 to 2030.

At the meeting, with the spirit of cooperation and construction, the two sides discussed and agreed on the content and cooperation program between the two sides in 2020. GIZ highly appreciated the cooperation with the General Department of Education.  Occupation in 2019. Hopefully, in 2020 and the following years, the two sides will work more closely to promote the process of innovation and improve the quality of vocational education in Vietnam.  GIZ always wishes to cooperate and receive the support from DVET in vocational education-related activities.

 Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of the DVET highly appreciated the cooperation and support of the Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”, GIZ for the development of the system vocational education and training for many years.  Based on the achievements of the Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam” for the period of 2017-2020, GIZ continues to strengthen cooperation in supporting Vietnam in the field of education in the coming period.  occupations to meet the requirements of human resources, especially high-quality human resources in the context of increasingly deep regional and international cooperation, the strong impact of the industrial revolution 4.0.  The Director General requested the Departments and units under DVET to continue studying and proposing cooperation contents with the German Development Cooperation Agency, GIZ in the coming period.
