Launching a contest Vietnam Labour Skills

On the afternoon of April 28, the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training - Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs cooperated with the Vietnam Journalist Association to launch a contest about Vietnamese labour skills with the theme: “Improving Vietnam’s labour skills”.        




In order to affirm the role and value of labor skills in socio - economic life and international integration; raising awareness of people, businesses and society about the role of labor skills; creating a professional playground for journalists, reporters, editors, collaborators, individuals, press and media agencies;

Extensive propaganda on Vietnam Labor Skills Day - October 4, DVET in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association launched a writing the contest with the theme “ Improving Vietnamese labour skills - Skilling up Vietnam”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Quang Loi - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: This is a very meaningful contest, the first one in a field that the society has not yet recognized important and its implications for the socio-economic development in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Journalists Association is tasked with organizing important press tournaments every year, with up to 15 contests. However, this is the latest one that the Vietnam Journalists Association has participated in. This shows its interest especially of the Vietnam Journalists Association regarding the human resource development issue of Vietnam In order to affirm the position, role, awareness of labor skills and occupational skills of both enterprises and employees. We are attracted to the training of qualifications too much, if we only care about training to get a degree, where do we get direct employees, said Mr. Ho Quang Loi.

Mr. Truong Anh Dung - Director General of DVET, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs emphasized: Successful experience of many countries around the world shows that the development of skilled labour force, especially skilled people play a particularly important role, contributing to the creation of outstanding labor productivity. The more skilled workers are present, the more foreign investors will be attracted, the application of new technologies helps increase labour productivity.

Today, occupational skills/labor skills are considered a new currency in the market. This is the factor that creates the competitiveness of every business, every country. So have we identified and glorified all types of labor really well or not? The answer is not yet

We hope that through the contest we will spread the values ​​of the employees to contribute to the development of a standardized labor force, contributing to the increase of labor productivity and competitiveness of Vietnam in next time.
