Dated 07/16/2021, in Hanoi, the Director General of Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Truong Anh Dung has met and worked with Mr. Jesus Lavina , Deputy Head of the Committee H spatch Development Cooperation , Delegation of the European Union ( EU) in Vietnam on the priority of cooperation in vocational education (TVET) in the period of 2021-2027. Attending were representatives Leader of Vietnam Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Agency, Department of Occupational Skills and the Office of DVET.
At the meeting, Director General Truong Anh Dung highly appreciated the interest, good relationship and desire to cooperate closely with the EU Delegation in Vietnam in developing the field of VET in the coming time.
Communication with the EU Delegation to Vietnam , the Director General emphasized the importance of developing the Vocational Education system and developing vocational skills for workers in Vietnam. The Director General also shared some of the difficulties and challenges the system is currently facing, especially in raising the society's awareness of the VET sector, and improving the quality of VET in Vietnam so that it can follow suit catch up with other countries in the world and the challenges of investment resources for TVET in Vietnam.
Sharing with the Delegation, the Director General wished that the EU would pay attention, support and cooperate with DVET in a number of activities as follows : (i) Developing the Vietnam Vocational Education Strategy to 2030; (ii) Consulting and technical support for the development of the VET system in Vietnam; (iii) C he acknowledged and recognized each other on labor standards; (iv) Collaboration, sharing e - Training administrators and teachers; training quality management; (v) Connecting supply and demand, the EU delegation is the bridge connecting TVET institutions with EU enterprises producing and doing business in Vietnam; (vi) Cooperation between VET institutions in Vietnam and training institutions in the EU.
Overview the meeting
Speaking at the meeting, the EU delegation's representative , Mr. Jesus Lavina also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Director General to the delegation and expressed his interest in developing the system and quality of Vietnamese TVET. Vietnam is suitable and meets the labor recruitment needs of enterprises and Vietnam's socio-economic development plan, as well as the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation Framework Agreement between Vietnam and the EU. .
Director General Truong Anh Dung thanked and highly appreciated the priorities and cooperation plans of the EU Delegation to Vietnam in the development of TVET and skills for workers in Vietnam in the 2021-2027 period .
The parties agreed that after the meeting, they would continue to exchange and coordinate closely to build a cooperation program between DVET and the EU Delegation to Vietnam in the coming time./.
