Viet – Duc Vocational College held opening ceremony in 2015-2016

On 17/11, Viet – Duc Vocational College Ha Tinh held opening ceremony 2015 – 2016 and celebrated Vietnamese teachers’ day 20/11. Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Tran Nam Hong Hong and PhD. Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of General Directorate of Vocational Training (Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs) attended the ceremony.
Originally founded in 2002 as Viet – Duc Technical Vocational School, in 2007, the school was upgraded to become Viet – Duc Vocational College. Annually, the school manages and provides training for thousand of full-time students at vocational college level and vocational secondary school level, establish linkage for distance learning and transfer of students from college level to university level in 14 vocations. Thereby, the school has supplied hundred of students for enterprises within and outside the province every year.
In the school year of 2015 – 2016, the school has enrolled 800 full-time fresh students at vocational college, vocational secondary school level for 14th class, in which 50 students are Laotian, that increases the total number of students in the school to 2,200 students.
At the ceremony, congratulating the results accomplished by the teachers and students of Viet – Duc Vocational College, PhD. Truong Anh Dung – Deputy Director General of General Directorate of Vocational Training and Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Tran Nam Hong suggested that the school shall continue striving to make a breakthrough in order to become a high quality vocational school.
In order to achieve those goals, the school should optimally mobilize domestic and foreign resources; develop standardization of computer literacy and foreign language skill of the teachers and students; develop and apply an advanced education administration system; diversify and create linkage with other training institutions for providing training of other professions that are highly demanded by the society; maintain the rate of student getting job after graduation...
During the ceremony, the school has proudly received Excellent Emulation Flag, ISO 9001 – 2008 certification.
Provincial Association for Promoting Education also awarded 4 gifts to 4 teachers with outstanding achievement, 10 scholarships “Hong Lam Education Promotiton” to 10 students; the sponsors: Hessen Office – Germany, Saccombank Ha Tinh, Agribank Ha Tinh, VNPT Ha Tinh, Mobifone Ha Tinh awarded 76 scholarships to students who overcame difficulty and achieved good academic results.
