Vinh Phuc Vocational College celebrates 15th anniversary

On 19/11/2015, Vinh Phuc Vocational College celebrates 15th anniversary (2000-2015) and receives Second-class Labor Medal. Attendees in the anniversary includes: Vu Chi Giang, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of General Directorate of Vocational Training; leaders of People’s Council; Province’s Departments, divisions and leaders of vocational schools in the region; University of Technology Education and partner enterprises have attended to celebrate with the school.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huyen, on behalf of school leadership, delivers an anniversary speech detailing the building and development of the school. The school was developed from an original Construction technical training center to a vocational school and upgraded from a vocational school to Viet-Duc vocational college in Vinh Phuc. During 15 years of building and development, up to 2015, the school has trained 4200 students in 10 college-level professions, 8 vocational school-level professions, 20 professions of lower-than-vocational school level; 9 college-level courses have been in place, 10,000 students graduated from school, rate of students who had a job and a stable income after graduation is 90%. The school also places a focus on improving capabilities and teaching skills for teachers; take part in skill competitions, teaching festivals for teachers, vocational training equipment competition, culture-sport competition; physical assets and training equipment of the school have increased in both number and quality; there have been investments into the school from Germany, Korea. Especially, the school has enrolled 1,300 students of both college and vocational school-level in 2015.

On behalf of General Directorate of Vocational Training, Deputy Director General Truong Anh Dung has warmly congratulated the school’s teachers on occasion of Vietnamese teachers’ day and complimented the school’s achievements over the past 15 years, especially since the school transformed into a vocational college. Deputy Director General Truong Anh Dung also discusses methods to build the school into a high quality school meeting 6 criteria of high quality school, in which the focus is placed on 3 sets of solutions: conduct enrollment in a good manner in order to increase scale of enrollment to the level of a high quality school; innovate training methodologies; enhance training quality so as to increase the possibility of students’ earning a stable job, high income in a suitable profession after graduation; mobilize local, central resources and resources from international organizations to develop the school, develop a highly qualified force of vocational teachers who have both language skill and computer skill to better meet the requirement for regional, international vocational training; continue to maintain inspection of level-3 vocational training quality and inspection of program; build a mechanism for financial independence. During the ceremony, Mr. Vu Chi Giang, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, on behalf of Vietnam president, awards the school Second-Class Labor Medal.
