On September 23, 2022, at the headquarters of the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Deputy Director General of DVET Pham Vu Quoc Binh worked with RMIT University Australia led by Ms. Mish Eastman, Deputy President (In charge of training), RMIT University Australia is the leader of the delegation. Attending the meeting were Ms. Jen Bahen, Education Counselor, Australian Ambassador, Ms. Duong Hong Loan, Director of External Relations and Strategy, RMIT Vietnam University and related units under DVET.

Over meeting

At the meeting, Deputy Director General Pham Vu Quoc Binh presented an overview of the VET system of Vietnam such as: number of TVET institutions, number of enrollments, training levels, national qualification framework. Deputy Director General Pham Vu Quoc Binh also mentioned the solutions that the VET system of Vietnam has implemented in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic such as: switching to online training, applying technology in teaching and learning. teaching and learning, training to respond to labor mobility in the context of the pandemic, changes in technology, as well as providing policies to attract learners into the VET system.

  At the meeting, Ms. Mish Eastman raised issues of mutual concern, including the business cooperation model; capacity building for teachers and administrators. Dr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh also hopes that in the future, he will continue to expand cooperation with RMIT University Australia through the activities of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and DVERT to support students. , students of vocational education institutions; cooperate in building training programs for teachers, students, students and employees, towards the recognition of digital skills for these subjects; supporting training to improve qualifications for vocational education managers at all levels as well as consulting in the process of DVET building an operating and management system to meet the requirements of digital transformation in TVET.
