Deputy Minister Le Quan worked with the World Bank delegation by Dr. Wendy Cunningham - Chief Economist and team leader. Attending the meeting were Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Huong, Deputy Director General of Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and representatives of some departments of DVET.

At the meeting, two parties exchanged issues to orient the development of vocational education and training on the next time, autonomy in vocational education institutions, cooperation activities between schools and businesses.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quan said the demand for high quality human resources is being laid out for all countries including Vietnam. However, the rate of skilled labour in our country is still low, so we hope to receive support from the World Bank for the field of vocational education, such as providing experts, especially experts have a deep understanding of the structure of the vocational education system; suggest effective models of cooperation between schools and businesses...
