Bosch develops high-tech human resources towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0

On August 22, 2018 in Dong Nai, Bosch and the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), German International Cooperation Organization (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ) and LILAMA 2 International Technology College held the signing ceremony of a memorandum of public-private cooperation agreement on "Integrating the requirements of Industry 4.0 into vocational education".



On August 22, 2018 in Dong Nai, Bosch and the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), German International Cooperation Organization (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ) and LILAMA 2 International Technology College held the signing ceremony of a memorandum of public-private cooperation agreement on "Integrating the requirements of Industry 4.0 into vocational education".

The agreement aims to create close cooperation between businesses and stakeholders in the field of training and developing high quality technical human resources in order to research and experiment with adjustments in training programs create technology, closely follow the needs of enterprises in the industrial period 4.0 and the digital revolution, contributing to promoting the development of high-quality technical human resources in Vietnam, bringing to Vietnam into an industrial country by 2020.

The program is one of Vietnam-Germany bilateral development cooperation activities in the field of education and vocational training. The cooperation process lasts for 3 years with a total investment of more than 400,000 Euro. In which, Bosch contributes more than 200,000 Euro through the installation of practice rooms with equipment of Industry 4.0 standard at LILAMA2, participates in analyzing the needs of Industry 4.0 compatibility skills and supports LILAMA 2 articles correction of training programs, etc. GIZ contributes approximately 200,000 Euro to this project by supporting partners to coordinate activities, organizing in-depth workshops, providing training activities, developing teaching staff, and evaluating effectiveness scheme, etc. The project will be implemented at LILAMA2, and then will be replicated at vocational training institutions with the support of the DVET.
Mr. Guru Mallikarjuna, Director General of Bosch Vietnam said: “The demand for high-tech human resources in Vietnam is increasing; we believe that this cooperation project will be an important step forward to raise high level and support workers to create competitive advantages”.
At the memorandum signing ceremony, Dr. Jürgen Hartwig - Program Director, German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) - said: “In this collaboration, GIZ will support your partners on adjusting vocational training proposals according to Industry 4.0 requirements Bosch, the leading company in the Internet of Things (IoT), is an ideal partner to develop training programs in the most up-to-date way to meet business needs and improve Vietnam's competitiveness in globalization economy”.
The parties agree to work closely together in four core areas of human resource training and development, including: Awareness rising through intensive conference program on Industry 4.0 results in vocational training and development. Needs analysis: a set of industry best practices related to 4.0, demand analysis and preparation for training programs at LILAMA 2 College. Development and testing of industrial models 4.0, which includes training and replication of training seeds is a team of lecturers as well as businesses and related organizations. Evaluation of results: assessing the effectiveness of the pilot project, integrating the same training model at vocational training institutions, contributing initiatives to the DVET.
“Students who participate in the training program under the modernization program at LILAMA 2 will gain knowledge about theory as well as practical skills based on the latest technology foundation. These skills are not only required by foreign companies but also by Vietnamese companies, which are gradually transforming processes and services to match the development of the 4.0 industrial revolution”, LILAMA 2 representative - Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, Principal, confirmed.
Dr. Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of the DVET said: “This pilot project is extremely important to us because this model can be replicated in other training centers across the country. In addition, we can use proposals for integrating Industry 4.0 related topics into the system-level legal framework”.
